Fun With Horses!

Site info

Nestled on just over an acre in the heart of Litchfield Park's horse community, our home is surrounded by great neighbors, fruit orchards, and open farmland.  We are in the proximity of Luke Air Force Base, so are blessed with the "sounds of freedom" daily, but it's quiet enough on some days to hear the quail calling to each other in the brush. While strolling down the road, you are equally likely to find kids or cattle running thru the yards. Our lawnmowers out here generally have hooves, and our security systems paws. It's the type of neighborhood that when you are out riding, folks still wave, whether they know you or not.

It's a great place for kids. Plenty of room to run around and explore the great outdoors. Mine hone their talents at BB gun sport shooting, archery, bike riding, and horseback riding, all the while "staying at home". There are bugs to capture, plants to grow, dirt to play in, sprinklers to run thru, all the great things that Childhood has to offer.

It's a great place for adults though too. There is no pressure to "keep up with the Jones" here. No repetitive uniformity and isolation from your neighbors that typical suburbia life offers. We have fences we can talk thru and more outdoor chairs than family members. It's the type of lifestyle that encourages friendships and BBQ's.

We've been working on this place for several years now and have more sweat and blisters put into it than I care to recall, but that's what it takes to make a Home. Houses are bought; Homes are built. There's a difference and when you've been blessed with the wisdom of understanding the difference, you can really begin to enjoy all that Life really has to offer.
